Maggie,
A camera to record the mishaps that are sure to occur would be a great item to bring. The "float" will probably be from Lyle park to the interstate bridge. Sunny and a high of sixty. Beats sitting at home.

Well, don't bring a ski boat! Those apparently don't do so well on this river.
I'm looking for a bilge pump; the battery connections on DeBo's are not compatible with the marine battery I was planning to bring.
Throw ropes, of course. Those that have a rescue kit of any type (pulleys, carabiners, prussics) should probably bring them. If we have to drag the boat over any shoals, it might be helpful to have multiple kits in play.
Anyone with a good battery powered saws-all might want to bring that. Our intent is to get the boat out in one piece, but if that doesn't happen, then the boat is still coming out.
Those that have access to both canoes and kayaks should bring their canoe. There is still one tire, and a childs toy car that need to be removed. Also, there is a heavy rubber mat that it would be better to carry out separately from the boat.
We might need pickle buckets for bailing. And a couple of rolls of duct tape.
Since about 3 of us will probably end up in the motor boat going downstream, someone will need to tow our boats. That could be done with either a canoe or kayak.
If enough people have rescue vests, we could hitch ourselves to the boat like a dog team pulling a sled...
(no winky faces 'cause I ain't joking...)
And YES, a camera or cameras!

Just a few more notes for those mulling over whether or not to come.
1) Don't worry about shuttle. In classic ADD fashion, we'll figure that out after we see how the day progresses. I can say this because the put-in is close enough to where we will be that even if we have to send one person back upstream, and then go back and forth a few times due to folks adding in later, it won't be a big deal.
2) Don't worry about being late. To maximize your fun, meet us there at 9. But if you're running late, don't use that as an excuse to blow this off and miss the fun. Just put in at Lyle Park, and head downstream. Whenever you have an option, Go Right! You'll catch us, because it is going to take us at least an hour, maybe two, to prep the boat for re-launch.
3) You don't have to work any more than you want to. Moral support and cheering also counts for something. In addition, there are still some smaller items of trash along the way; we ought to grab them tomorrow while we're all in the area.

Yes, Lyle park is in Benton. Coming from Arkadelphia take the second Benton exit. Cross the overpass. You will be on Hwy 5 towards Hot Springs Village. At about 2 miles turn left on Lyledale Rd (This is at the second middle turning lane since the overpass). Follow Lyledale and you will run straight into the park.

I also hope to join the fun. Not sure that I'll be much help, but I'll do what I can and stay as long as I think the Boss will let me.

Turned out to be a great day to be on the water. Nine of us showed up. We got the ski boat, 10 tires and an assortment of other smaller items of trash...

A great job was done by a dedicated team! I've got to run right now to meet Steve and Jim for unloading at the City dump, but come back in a day or two, for a full report; I'm trying to collect photos and I want to "roll the credits" and show how everybody that went contributed something extra to the overall effort.
