Wanted: whitewater kayak for 6'2" 195 pounder

I've kayaked smaller rivers in Ark in a recreational kayak... looking to take the next step. Haven't even learned how to roll yet, so I'm not looking for anything super fancy. I'm just looking for a useful whitewater kayak that will fit my dimensions.

I have a WaveSport Y I would sell for $200. it's orange and has a Jackson Kayak ratchet style backband on it. I bought it for a friend who is your size but being an old bricklayer he can't sit in it for very long at all, and decided to stick with his rec. boat. I have paddled it once, down the spring river. It's very easy to roll, and as you progress you can do any river you want in this boat.

I like a Y for someone beginning to paddle whitewater; I actually had one that rolled itself at a really needed moment.

The one disadvantage I see with Y is that the knee area is a bit lower than in more recently designed kayaks. That can make sitting in one a bit more uncomfortable and maybe why the bricklayer had problems with it.

Y will go through most stuff.. spins and surfs great, Good all around boat.

That lower knee position is designed into the boat for a reason. It lowers the center of gravity (probably why it rolled you automatically) and most of all it's aerodynamic. With the lower drag coefficient, it is faster, able to boof and clear holes easily, practically does those "must make" moves for you. it's got that sleekness that today's barges just don't have.
It may not have that fancy Jackson name on the side of it, but, it does have some Jackson in it! and that's where it counts.... Performance. :myday"

But You do have a point for the knee height of the new boats....Much more comfortable

But when you reply below my posts of boats for sale your suppose to say Wow... that's a great boat, I'd give $500 for it right now if I had the money.... Or I can't believe your selling it that cheap, Somebody better jump on this fast.......... and I thank you in advance
