Summer 2012 Paddling Edit and High Water Ouachitas Video

Post by FarPastGone » Fri Oct 05, 2012 11:12 am

Hey All,

I hope everyone is doing good and had an enjoyable summer season despite the lack of water. I just finished an edit of my 2012 summer paddling season. I am really sporadic with my GoBro use so I missed a lot of cool runs I wish I would have filmed. Either way this video has footage from runs in Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Washington, and BC. Hope you enjoy and don’t take it to seriously...

I am actually leaving in the next week for Nepal for 2 ½ months of kayaking. I hope (depending on the internet situation over there) to resurrect my blog and update it regularly with the paddling adventures my friends and I have while in Nepal. If you are interested in keeping up with our trip check it out at:

EDIT: See post BELOW for High Water footage of Baker and the Cossatot from this past spring.

Nice to see somebody out there firing it up Mateo...

And, thanks for not "churching" it up with the "browns" and all that non-sense :-p

I have had a bit of free time the last few days so I also made an edit of some footage from the Cossatot area this spring after heavy rains. It includes Baker Creek at high water and a run down the Cossatot from Ed Banks to the Hwy at somewhere between 9-10 feet. Certainly know it has been run higher, but I haven't seen much footage of it at the high levels so I figure I would upload it.

Very fun videos to watch. Seems like you need to change the name of your blog from "Exploring the Whitewater of Arkansas: Stories and pictures of the whitewater from the lesser explored places between the Rockies and Appalachia"
to something including Nepal, BC and the northwest.
