I was surfing Paddleswap.com and came across this package which looked like a really good deal to me for a river runner canoe. If you got friends or relatives over there, or know someone who will be returning this way, or could hold it for you, might be worth calling. IF you do not have any of these type folks, I have some old paddleing friends in Atlanta who might do it for river karma being nice folks, among them, Bobby and Lynn Garr, Clayton Garr's parents.

Pacakge includes 2 decent paddles (one wood, one that looks like an Werner guide stick) , purple and teal PFD, red Float bags, large Wetsuit, paddled Perception style Saddle with adjustable toe blocks. No pictures of the bottom in ad, but it does have a direct phone number and everything shown looks good.
I know - I'm just drooling because it is red royalex 14'4" x33", but seriously, I've liked Nolan's boats as much as I like Mad River canoes from when I knew him over on the Chattooga. My racks are full right now, I can't paddle for months yet, and Susan would still shoot me if I bought another canoe right now without getting rid of 2 of what's on the racks.

Re: Whitesell canoe package $600 in Georgia
Sorry - Good deals go fast. and Whitesell canoes, although no longer made, are still very popular.
For those who have questioned my motives in posting boats for sale that I do not own - If I was trying to make money reselling canoes, I would not have posted this one or others. I do not take finders fees or take commisions, unless it might be a free beer someday. I was just trying to pass on a chance at a good boat I have no connections to. I figure that the more canoe owners there are over here, the better chance I have of running shuttle and paddleing with them. I have all the canoes right now that my wife says I am allowed to own, and actually "need" (her word) to get rid of two of them.
Not in a "rush" to sell them. They are good boats for what they were designed for and I would like to see them go to folks who will use and appreciate them. My prices are firm when I state them. I do not like to dicker. When I buy a boat, it is the same - I either accept the price or I pass on it. I am selling these 2 canoes eventually because they are tandem boats that my tandem partner does not like as well as others that I now have and they are not being used and taking up room on my racks. But while I have them, I can and will will use them for "loaners", like for the youth group at my church, friends, and family. I do not rent gear.
If anyone is interested, the two canoes I have for sale are a red 17' fiberglass Mohawk and a green 17' royalex Mad River Northwoods. Both are fast canoes, but the Northwoods is the faster, being designed for the 17' cruising racing class.
Price for the Mohawk is $250. Price for the Northwoods is $650.
I live on Beaver Lake and would recommend that you try either boat here before buying one or both to make sure it is what you want to paddle. I can provide PFD's, paddles, and other accessories for the demo, BUT I do not have any of these items for sale - just the 2 canoes.
I do not have any pictures of them, but can try to take and send some if you are not close enough to just come by and try them. They are both worth what I am asking for them, although there is probably not room for resale values if you are wanting to flip them.
