I am looking for a few tent sites. Since I've never been out there I was wondering what everyone recommends? Would like to have a place on or near the river.

Re: Nantahala camping
I've stayed at Lost Mine Campground. It's close to the NOC and should be quiet this time of year.

I can reccomend Nelsons Nantahala Campground in Topton. A little farther away from NOC,etc. but far enough off of the highway that it is always quiet. Great people there.

Turkey Creek is nice and has a great location. It's right in the middle of NOC, Tsali, and Bryson.
