New Wave 10' Squirt Boat

I got this boat a number of years ago from a friend who was moving and never used it. It's a New Wave 10' long squirt boat but I don't know the model etc. The only major defect is a partial crack on the side shown in the pictures. This crack doesn't go all the way through the fiberglass. I live in Shawnee, KS but might be able to arrange it's transportation from KWA members. Let me know if you have any questions. Looks like a New Wave Big Foot if you want to look up more details on the boat and that seam crack should be easy to fix.

The photo looks like my New Wave Big Foot for sure. Except mine is GA Tech creme colored hull and gold deck with a black strip that seals the deck to the hull which was the way glass boats were made in those days. This was the same color scheme of the kayak I made back when the GT Outdoor club taught us how and made available the molds and materials for my first kayak. Back in those days, every one was paddling Grumman canoes and all my boating buds thought I was crazy when I showed up with a "kayak".

My Big Foot was made to fit my feet, legs and weight etc back in the day when my hip and back let me have fun in a Squirt boat.

Paddling a squirt boat tho might well have added to my hip and back issues.

In any event, my New Wave Big Foot was extremely well made, was expensive for the time, took a while to get mine built and still has no cracks etc and at a couple hundred bucks one used even with a crack might well be a good deal.

My advice would be to go check out the boat in person and make a offer based on what you see and if it fits you. Best of my not to be trusted memory is New Wave made these boats to fit the original customer's body and desired "sinkability".

Squirt boats will give the average "big rapids on top" kayaker a opportunity to take advantage of streams that will offer a lot of fun. I used to spend hours over on the Verdergris Barge channel working out around current differentials at a bridge foundation.

Did you sell the boat? I PM you with no answer about the sixe of the boat. I was looking the pics you have and the sticker with size was right by a telephone wrote with a magic marker, i think Dennis.

The boat is still available. There's no sizing information but I'm 5'11 (32" inseam) and 160 lbs and I fit in fine. I'm guessing someone with about a 34" inseam and 170 pounds would still fit. The area that is likely to be the tightest is in the thigh/knee area.
