SECTION 2 OF THE CADDO SATURDAY 9/1/12

Anyone interested in paddling the Class I section 2 of the Caddo Saturday 9/1/12? There are some small waves to surf.

Sounds like a pretty nice relaxing float! Hoping to be able to join in. Mike, since I'm not a surfer, would this section be appropriate for my 12ft Saluda? It's like a semi compared to my Hero, but sure is easier paddling through pools & slower water. What time are you wanting to put on?

I corrected the title of this post to say "Section 2" of the Caddo, my name for the Highway 182 to Highway 84 section. Any boat is fine for this part of the Caddo. The pools aren't too bad, the surfing waves are easy and there are several of them, there are lots of easy eddies to catch, and who knows what we will see along the way.

How about saying we will be at the put-in at 10:00 a.m., that's at the AGFC access on Hwy. 182 just north of Amity? I would be leaving Little Rock at 8:30 to get to the put-in by 10:00. I'm open to changing the time to suit someone else.

There is enough water in the river right now; I hope it holds until tomorrow.

I think Marlo and I will try and join you tomorrow. I have looked at the levels all day, and groussed about the weather and lack of water quite enough. I think this will be probably the best section we can float tomorrow, and It sure won't hold any longer. We'll see you at 182 in the morning, I will try for 10am, but please wait for us until 10:30 before shoving off. If anything changes, I'll let you know. Thanks!

Okay Beth, OOO at 9:30, and Minna - just go north from the circle in the center of Amity on 182 a fairly short distance and turn right where the AGFC sign indicates the access. It looks like someone's driveway, but keep going and you will end up at the ramp. Don't worry if we aren't there exactly at 10:00. We'll wait for you and the Kreugers.
