Looking for an apt. in Central Ark. Two Chihuahuas 10lb each. My rent limit is close to $550 and I'm not finding anything in the papers or net where that $$ is not a dump.
My references are Jim and Marlo Krueger, Mike Beebe, Captain Alieve, Jeremy and that guy with the X-rated Spring River photo site

I've got some nice stuff in Benton in that price range but nothing open at the moment. Depending on when you need it I may have something later.
Given your references though I would need to run a federal and 50 state background check as well as a nationwide sex offender check.

Chapel Ridge in Jax, Huh?
Did you talk to a cute brunette at the front desk while you filled out your lease?
Next time you're in there, ask her about her husband.
I think I may have a new paddling buddy who lives just down the road!

Nope Komo, this was a cute lil black girl. And this is Chapel Ridge Mitlitary Rd. I suspect the other one is YOUR Chapel Ridge, however, I iz ALWAYS up for a new paddling buddy or as I calls us, River Rats.
That Bayou Meto is across the street from me on the other side of a field, know any nearby access points? Seems like it could be very very fishy.
Padd or as nefarious buds calls me legalpad
:myday" P.S. Anybody in the sherwood/jax/cabot area got a 10 ft by 2 foot place i could stash mah boat? This apartment is upstairs and I'm olllllllldddddddddddddd :myday"

I think you met (or re-met) my wife the other day. She said you all sat down and connected the dots.
Bayou Meto is part of the Urban Canoe Trail System (or whatever AGFC calls them these days).
The put in is off of Main street, west of town. Take out is directly across the road from Reeds' Bridge battlefield site on hwy 161. There's also been rumor of the city building an access behind the baseball fields on Redmond road, but I have yet to see it myself.
If you're interested in fishing, I suggest Paradise Park. Its a tiny pond, but the fish (bream, catfish, largemouth) are in there, in decent sizes. Its also cool to be out there at 8PM to hear the mournful sounds of "Taps" drift across the water from the loudspeakers on the AFB. To get there, follow Military (later Redmond rd) west past the interstate. shortly after you pass under 167, it makes a hard right. Follow it around, go straight at the light, and in about 1-1 1/2 miles you should spot a blue park sign on the left. You can't miss it, since the road dead-ends at the old back gate for the AFB about 200yrds further on!
Other local flatwater spots include Lake Pickthorne (b/t Jville and Cabot, take the access road on the south side of 167 and look for the brown AGFC signs) and a bayou type thing you cross over if you head east on Graham rd past the 4-way at JP Wright Loop rd. I haven't been on that one yet but I see people fishing there every time I pass by.
That's all I know about local water. Look forward to meeting you sometime soon!
Philip
