Little Missouri/ 2nd of August
Little Missouri/ 2nd of August
Thursday is supposed to be 102 in Little Rock. I will be ditching that city heat, for some cool water on the Little Missouri. If you want in, post here or call me 501-352-727three. I believe Cowper and DEBO are attending, but the more the merrier!!!
The water runs from 3-6 and is a full release. Departure times and car pooling can be discussed either here or by calling me, if this would be consider a non-avowed excursion from work
*****Please note that TRT's ROE's are turned on for this trip******

Re: Little Missouri/ 2nd of August
I may make it if my wife gets over her illness by Thursday. I'll have room for riders from Little Rock to Murfreesboro if I go.

Where do you live Bryan?

In Benton, near Congo and Shenandoah. Mike said to be at the Benton Home Depot around noon.

As for the count, there will be four in my Titan, leaving room for a few more on the shuttle.

Re: Little Missouri/ 2nd of August
There are five accesses on this float they're making tomorrow, but for the 'normal' 5 mile trip here, the put-in is at Riverside Park just below the Narrows Dam down to the take-out at 'the Low water Bridge', a concrete bridge across the river on 13th st. West of downtown Murfreesboro, about two miles out of town.
Re: Little Missouri/ 2nd of August
We should advocate truth in take-out descriptions... That bridge isn't a low water bridge anymore :)

Bryan,
Indeed it's a more modern concrete bridge that's been in place for the last thirty + years I've been driving over that way. However the local folks in Murfreesboro will beg to differ with anyone referring to it otherwise
Another example of this is the Steel Bridge to Riverside Gro.&Sta. float on the North Fork of the Saline here a few miles from my house. Needless to say, the 'Steel' bridge looks mighty like Murfreeboros 'Low Water' bridge now days.
Same sentiment though with the locals.
Best Regards
Jim
