Caves on the Buffalo

Post by 2fast2reid » Thu Jun 21, 2012 12:30 pm

I had a friend of mine ask me about any caves on the river. He wanted to know if there was a book out or guide to find some to explore?

Thanks,

Jake

I think all the caves along the Buffalo are currently off-limits due to whitenosed bat fungus ? or something similar...

Someone more in the know may need to clarify.

Yes, most of the caves on federal or state property are closed due to the threat of white nose syndrome which kills large numbers if hibernating bats but is harmless to humans.

The caves that are still open tend to be show/tour caves.
