I have a brand new, never paddled, Sawyer Solo 13. It was made in the last operating Sawyer canoe shop in Ohio in 2005. It does not have a H.I.N. It is a kevlar layup with an actual weight of 40 pounds. The outside of the hull looks great. The interior resin work is a little bit less than perfect, especially in comparison to Scott's work at Superior Sawyer Canoes, today. It has been stored in a basement since it left the shop. It is a solid, strong construction.
It is outfitted with Wenonah adjustable seat drops, that allow the seat to be placed in a high or low position, or in an angled position for kneeling.
You can read about this boat on the Superior Canoes website, and read the reviews on paddling.net. Although not advertised, this IS a David Yost design. It is a fun little boat!
I have it for sale at 1/2 of MSRP at $875.
