Spring River Excursion - Sat May 5th.
Spring River Excursion - Sat May 5th.
Mike Coogan and I have our camera batteries charged, and are planning on heading up to the Spring RIver on Saturday to start this summer off with some new "landscape" pictures.
I could meet anyone from this area at the Conway Exxon mart on Hwy 65, just north of the I-40 and Hwy 65 exit, about 7:00am, in time to leave at 7:30am.
Mike would meet those interested from down in LRock at the old KMart parking lot on Rodney Parham at 7am. Eventually we'd meet up at the Exxon by McD's at the Hwy167/Hwy64 Beebe exit. Then we'd get to Batesville about 9:30 and join up with anyone there from Clinton, etc.
Hollar back if you wanna go. We usually get back into Conway and LRock about 9pm.

Jan, Dam#3 just to get the full ride. You could wait downstream for us at Riverside, if you'd prefer.

I may be attending. Anyone interested in camping Saturday night at Spring River Oaks? Driving/riding up there and back in one day, last week was kinda rough. And I'd like to enjoy a few more cold ones then normal.
And if the crowd is anything like last weekend, I'm betting the only pics you'll be getting will be of the "scenery" in our group.

I've got room, Zack, in the cab yet! I'll save you a spot. Be at the K-Mart on Rodney Parham right there by I-430 a little before 7:00 so we can roll out at 7:00 a.m. See you there, too, Karla & and Gary.

Gary and I will be there at K-mart by 7am. James and a friend will be coming. He has paddled a little, she hasn't. He has approach and xp 10, she will be in the xp10. He works with me at Children's.

Chester, is this a club float or would I be welcome to hoard in ? If so I've paddled the Spring in the past but just to Riverside, what part do you plan on doing please. What camp ground would you recommend ? Thanks Craig
Re: Spring River Excursion - Sat May 5th.
Craig, all are welcomed. We'll be putting in up at the Dam#3 site, and taking out at Spg Rvr Oaks. RIverside may be the preferred camping site, but SRO may be more convenient for ya at the take out. We usually go straight to the take out to consolidate boats/vehicles for the ride up. So in front of the office/store there, i's a good meeting place to see what we have to drive up and park. My cell is five 0 1 - too 0 5 - 92 three five.
Re: Spring River Excursion - Sat May 5th.
Chester, I am trying to call James to just meet us in Little Rock somewhere. He planned to come to conway and meet ya'll there cause thought we were coming there. He drives a white truck, should have two kayaks in the back, name is James McLaughin (spelling?). This just in case I don't get a hold of him, if I do I will post that he is meeting us to follow up to Spring.
