Paddle Buddy Needed

Post by Alli G 1 » Tue Apr 03, 2012 12:47 am

Hi, everyone!

I'm a newbie to this forum. I live in Fayetteville, and have irregular work hours, which means when all my friends head to the rivers on Saturday/Sunday, I'm headed to work. Sad face.

Looking for a paddle buddy to head out on Wednesdays and Thursdays (my days off). I have a car, so the shuttle wouldn't be a problem. Also have own gear (kayak, etc). Short floats, long floats, whatever...

Also, if any of you have any additional recommendations on how I could make this happen, that'd be great! I'll do pretty much anything solo, but getting out on the water isn't one of them.

Thanks a bunch!
Allison

Allison,
You have come to the right place. Most people are on the M-F schedule but there are some of us who are not.
The Buffalo is my river so it that is of interest there is a possibility we could paddle together, although I am a canoeist not a kayaker. Canoe camping is what I really enjoy.

I am wanting to find a spring at Red Bluff and was wanting to do it either Wed or Thr. Trail builders this week are camped at So Maumee and are planning to paddle (canoe) from So Maumee to Hwy 14 on Wed. Wed morning looks to be rainy but diminishing through the day. If I go up Wed I plan to camp that night on a gravel bar. Most likely Red Bluff then paddle to So Maumee on Thr.
Anyway, plans are not set in stone but if this is appealing to you let me know.
Richard

Howdy Alli, I'm new too. I live in Fayetteville and can pretty much choose when to work or not. I
also have a truck with racks large enough to haul two canoes/kayaks easy. anytime you would like to go somewhere just give me a shout. I normally travel with my dog lili, and both day trips and overnights are good with me. Best regards, David

I'm down. I'm in LR but happy to drive and I can be off on those days. Bring the rain!

I do mind that Susan and Mike paddle Kayaks :NoNo: . . . but gratefully there is an exception to every rule
