Morning! Please be advised you have a fellow paddler running for state representative in House District 81. Lisa France Norris started paddling with me in law school after reading an article on a couple who ran the Hailstone in their 80s and were instrumental in preserving the Buffalo River and naming the Hailstone. Although we haven't been able to catch the Hailstone, it is on our list!
Lisa grew up in Mountainburg on a farm the Frog runs through. Her district also includes several paddling gems she is committed to preserving. If you live in the district in the following link:

please come out May 22 and cast your ballot in the primary (I don't think her opponent ever saw a canoe in his life). Although our membership to the canoe club has lapsed you can be guaranteed she will keep protecting Arkansas's natural resources on her radar and will welcome helping represent the canoe club's interest in Little Rock.
If you do not live in her district but know someone or have family in District 81 please let them know she is running and consider voting for her. Her website is a work in progress but the link is: http://www.votelisanorris.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Thanks! See you on the river when this campaign is done!
