Lost Boat on Clear Creek.

Post by paddledog » Thu Mar 22, 2012 6:07 pm

One of my crew swam the last rapid approaching the take out at Chester on Clear Creek.
He is fine but the boat was chased downstream for about a mile.
Last seen it floated into a rootwad. A check of the rootwad today (low water) resulted in
no boat. It must be somewhere on Clear or Frog.
Although a used boat it was his first run in it.
It was a canary yellow Huck.
No name in it except the scratched out name of the previous owner.
It has a CKS sticker on the stern, and another sticker also. Don't remember what it was.
A small paddlers reward for it's return.

Thanks

Last seen just above the first 540 crossing. Right where the creek leaves the
shuttle road to Sheaburg. We checked the rootwad it was reported to be in heavily.

Cold "rewards" to anyone on the CREW that recovers.
(that should get ya some help). You name the flavor.
There is no way of getting out for a fourth day in a row
for me. Be safe, have fun.

Still no luck...thanks to all who searched. Please keep your eyes peeled if you're in that area.

Ran the Grotto to Lancaster today and did not see it. Just thought you could check off another section.
