Piney Saturday 3/17?

Post by CaptDan » Fri Mar 16, 2012 9:21 pm

The Piney was great today at 3.75 ft. Apparently the American Whitewater info is not accurate. Is there anybody interested in doing the farm to Longpool tomorrow? It would be good to save the $50 on the shuttle.

I usually go with usgs link from OWP and then add about a half foot to equal the rivers height which has correlated well with long pool stick gauge. I imagine the aw page uses usgs also, so 3.75 = 4.25 which is one of my favorite levels on that creek.

Would have like to do that with ya but had to work. I think I could have been alright in my canoe, but still can't kayak just yet.

Thanks for the information. I called Moore Outdoors yesterday which was pretty helpful on the water level.
