Wanted to test out my new Panasonic GH2, so I shot some footage at the Dallas Wave. It shoots full HD at 24 fps so it has a much more cinematic feel than regular HD video. Used a 14mm pancake lens and a 14-140mm zoom with Fader ND filter.

Level was 1420 cfs. Pleasant surprise was that the 2nd wave was still and actually much like a mini Wister Wave.

Big Daddy D, can you give me instructions on how to get to the wave from 35 and 121 or point me to a website with directions and will you guys be out there again this weekend. I live in Dallas and have never been to this wave, what an idiot!

Re: Video from Saturday
Some paddlers got hassled by the Dallas Public Works guy last Tuesday and he threatened to call the police. On weekends, there seems to be less hassle. It's just hit and miss. I've been lucky the last 3 or 4 times and nobody has been down there.tomOzarkVideo wrote:Looks pretty good!

There's actually a new Texas paddlers board: http://www.texaswhitewater.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Hawkayaks wrote:Big Daddy D, can you give me instructions on how to get to the wave from 35 and 121 or point me to a website with directions and will you guys be out there again this weekend. Flipit posted a map to the wave on this post. Scroll down and you'll see it:

Hope you can make it out there soon.
