It is nearing time for our annual New Years float. As always bring your own boat and lunch and prepare for cold weather. Bring a change of clothing in case you take an unexpected swim or an expected one , for that matter! Hot Cider and an opportunity for a great time outdoors with friends is provided.
We will meet Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 11:00am at the boatramp at Pinnacle Mtn. State Park. (just off Hwy 300, far east end of the main parking lot / visitor area)
Unless it has been moved, there is a boat-accessible geocache along the way for those who wish to try to find it.

coordinates?
We are all afflicted with Cognitive Dissonance. The greater our religious, social, financial or political affiliation, the greater the affliction. We hear what we want to hear. We believe what we want to believe. Truth becomes irrelevant.

N34.83866 W92.49123 (degrees - decimal degrees format)
Don’t be standing over at N34.83860 W92.49152 fiddling with your stuff, because you won’t be able to help Debbie with the safety pointers if she forgets to mention something any first-time or relatively new floaters need to hear.

I'll be there. I was out there 10/29 and checked out the cache, but it needs maintenance. Was out there about 3 weeks ago, also, and it is still one of my favorite local paddles. For those who are interested in old historical structures, there is an old building near some railroad tracks that I stumbled onto with Cowper last spring, I'll probably try to detour to it. If anyone needs a boat, I have a rec boat that could use a paddlin, just give me a call at the following digits: 5oh1 four1three thirty-two19. See ya all there.

I'm in. What is the body of water we will be exploring? How long is the paddle/float? Thanks.

Jan,
We'll meet at the Pinnacle Mountain State Park, the float is on the Little Maumelle River for about five miles. It should be very nice. See you there.
Best Regards
Jim

Thanks, Jim. It will be great to see you & Miss Marlo. Some of my favorite floats have been with y'all.
See you Sunday!

Phil, it will be good to see you! We can reminisce about LouisCov's Eminence camp 'n float trip. (and make plans for next years' trip?)
See ya.
