What gear did you get for Christmas?

Post by Jbyrum » Sun Dec 25, 2011 2:28 pm

It may be the season of giving, but I know you had to have gotten some sweet gear! I'll start: I got a Watershed dry bag to bring my camera with me in the boat.

Bought myself a new helmet, the Sweet rocker with face guard. Lightweight, think I'm going to like it, know my nose will.
Also, Gary got me some mereno wool top and bottom for layering under my drysuit (so I could quit wearing his  )

You know you've been bitten by the paddling bug when your favorite article of clothing received for Christmas is an NRS Terraprene jacket. Hubby also bought some NRS coolers that will fit in my hatch.
Merry Christmas!!

I got a hot pink LL Remix XP10 & a black & pink Stohlquist PFD to match.
(I think this is my last XP10 for a while.)

Woo Hoo!

Got a new biking helmet and a rechargeable LED light with a helmet mount!!!

Had bought myself an Earthmate DeLorme GPS earlier this year so Cindy gave me a set of rechargeable batteries since it eats AA batteries!

Have had a wonderful Christmas with lots of fun, food and family!

Now I get a week off to piddle around the house!!

Best wishes to all for a blessed and wonderful New Year. Let's all agree that it's going to be the best year ever!

Can't wait to get my racks installed...and my boat out on the water.

I got a new metal detector for those days when I'm out and just want to see what is there... Of course, Santa couldn't find my house again this year and I wound up paying for my present. One of these days I'm gonna live where there are paddlers that like to go paddling and clear flowing rivers again. :drool2:

Harlan, maybe I need to introduce you to my friends over at LockpicksRus. No, really:

DeBo got some sweet Camo Muck boots for swamp touring.

I got a new GPS that picks up the Russian satellites too, so I can be an even bigger geek and continue playing with my GPS as the world order crumbles, and some fleece lined jeans and shirts so I can warm up a little faster after a cold day on the river.
