Actually the canoe cover was my own design. I wanted something that used the lacing to hold it on and velcro so it was fast to put on and remove. It's 2 parts so it can be undone in the middle and paddled while it's on. It would keep most of the rain out if you wear a poncho and spread it out. At night when the boat is sitting the 2 halves roll up like a dry bag in the middle to seal it up. It worked really well and looked pretty good. It has to be custom fitted to a boat and lacing so a pattern would be hard.

The tarp I bought. It was an Equinox 10x12. Super lightweight and big enough to give me a "porch". The night it rained I had a nice place to sit and listen to the radio. It also seemed to make the tent slightly warmer.

I do love camping on the Buffalo. I easily could have drug that trip out another week. I never feel like I have enough time. I bought a LL XP-10 this year and my new idea is to go minimalist on a multi-day trip in it. I think in the spring when it's a little warmer I could strip my gear down where it would fit in the kayak. I think it would be fun.
