Mad River Courier for sale

Have no connection to this, do not know what year it is, have no idea what condition it is in, but if I did not already have a brand new one, I'd be traveling to Ohio tonight even if it is green. I really like my Mad River Courier.

Just thought I would mention it incase someone else wanted one.

I looked nation wide for several years trying to find a Mad River Courier and now here is a second one in less than a week, in burgendy Royalex, rigged tandem (should have another thwart) with other gear for $500 (again in Ohio)

Again - no connection to this boat.

Mad River brand Courier solo canoe with Royalex hull. The canoe is 14'6" long, has molded-in Burgundy color with teak wood trim. It was purchased new in 1995. The Courier was originally designed for 1 person - a solo canoe for white water use. It was professionally modified to have 2 seats - suitable for 1 adult and 1 child, or 2 lightweight adults with max combined weight ~270 lbs. It could easily be returned to original solo configuration. The canoe weighs 60 lbs. It is easily car-topped, either on a roof rack or with foam pads directly on the vehicle roof. One person can load or unload it from a roof rack. Included with the canoe are 3 Feather Brand paddles, 1 double-end take-apart Gillespie kayak-style paddle, wooden carrying yoke, 3 life vests and several flotation cushions. The canoe and other equipment are in excellent condition - always stored indoors.
