Cossatot - Tuesday 12/20
Mena looks to be getting around an inch tonight. I'm looking for a group to run the tot with on Tuesday if it's at a good level. 501-276-3197
Re: Cossatot - Tuesday 12/20
I could be interested if it comes up a decent bit. Don't really want to make the trip if not above 5.
Re: Cossatot - Tuesday 12/20
I'll be heading over this morning. Will try to bring a couple more Arkadelphia paddlers along. Tentatively planning on being at the falls around 10:00.

For those who live further north in the state, it also sounds like a late run on Richland is coming together...

Ah, Richland is tempting, too. I so seldom get a chance. What's the plan?

Richland? Low-level upper or hoping for rain?
Re: Cossatot - Tuesday 12/20
The tot looks to be peaking around 4 feet. I was hoping to catch it higher.

What is the perfect level for the Tot?

Depends on what you are looking to do.
3-4ft provides tons of ferry and eddy catching/peel out practice in each of the drops without it being "pushy"...or rather slow and mellow.
4-5 provides the same with it being pushy.
5-6 has fewer eddys but more play waves and it's continuous.

Tim and Bryan,
My bad. I didn't see your posts until after I got back. Next time I'll be sure to edit to add times as soon as I find out what they are myself. We had a good run of Upper, relatively warm weather, about 19" of airspace at put in, 3.25' at take out time. I think some gravel must have washed out under the bridge; 19" is still a low level, but doesn't seem nearly as low as it used to. Either that, or I've just missed Richland so much that ANY run seems grand!
