Yo. Me and a buddy are hoping to run the upper tot on friday. We have never been down there. we have ran some solid class III and are looking for some good technical runs under IV. Do yall recommend the upper run.. then take out at the falls,,,, put in below?

Whats the best section to run if not confident with class IV and V??

We are camping Friday and Sat. Where do you wanna meet. What campsite?

Cheers for WATER.

if you run Ed banks to the falls and have no issues, you should do ok in the falls depending on level!!! get in with a good group and have fun. at levels below 4.5 the falls are really class III/III+ drops with the machine as a IV. above that and they start to run together.

would love to go up but $$$ are tight at this time.

more than likely running 246 to sand bar...

What is the section from FS 31 to ed banks like?

Usually putting higher up on a river/creek means that it gets meaner. :hammer2: :box:

In the case of the Tot, it gets a bit easier. Still need boat control and basic skills. It's fun run and plenty scenic. If the level is high enough, one can go up past the first low water bridge and grab some more. As always, be careful.

Howdy Harlan, Dan-o, Jamie and all! Steve Ford, Mat Pereda, and I are coming up to paddle tomorrow, and would love to paddle with ya'll. Mat and I have never been beyond the falls. Dan-o, could we run shuttle with ya'll and meet at the visitor center? It would be fun to run that lower section We will leave at 5ish a.m. and (hopefully) will be there by 10am or 10:30.

Thanks! Lorraine McPhee 682-551-3101
