Paddle tomorrow? (Wednesday)

Post by jnewcomb » Tue Nov 15, 2011 11:34 am

In Fayetteville. Got my eyes on Falling Water which is still rising and should hold, or Galla. Open to suggestions. Galla may not have enough rain, gonna have a buddy in Rville confirm that later today...

Numbers 5 oh 1 - 2fo9 - 3 one oh 7

Jinx.

Gage headed down as we speak. Of course local conditions may be different than the Gage suggests.

Unless it rains some more I'd say falling water is out.

Of course I can't paddle anyway withmy broke finger. So its out for me no matterwhat.
Here's to hope :beer2:

Yep spoke too soon. Guess the rain we got here last week petered out before it got there enough to prime it. Still up for anything else tomorrow, and I'll still post what my buddy in Rville has to say about Gala.

Some friends in Russelville eyed Gala and said it looks pretty close, couple that with a 90% of another half inch to an inch in Rville tonight and I would say were probably going to be able to run it. That and / or Snow creek are both viable options. Waiting to here back from these guys and then I'll post some times, I'll be leaving Fayetteville tomorrow though if anyones interested.

Well it's maybe gonna rain some more tOnight. Who knows, maybe falling water will come back up afterall.

As of now, with water info available I'd do lower Richland just to see it and upper if it held or comes up.

I'd like to run Galla sometime. Waterhogs vid of it got me chomPin at the bit to hit it uP. Hopefully crow Mtn gets nailed with rain.

What a rad in-town run.

Course the tot's headed up and lookin to have more rain to add later. Baker creeks right next door too!

I've dango got them excited paddle thoughts right now man tell ya what my dango fingers broke and cain't go paddle any way man.

Have fun out there wherever you go and here's to the local eye on streams without guages :beer2:

Bring your broken digits. Leaving Fayetteville around 8-9 in the morning to Russelville to do Galla, have lunch, and then hit Snow creek. Anyone who wants to come along let me know, I'll be up around 7.

anthony, thanks for the invite but this pinky tip break is keeping me away.

Image

The tendon is cut and the bone is pretty much f'd up so much i can't even pick my nose with my pinky any more.

They think the stuff under the nail bed is cut down to bone or enough at least that I have to keep it dry so bone infection don't set in.

Glad y'all got some good runs in

We had a great time. Was my first trip, Anthony and the other guys thought it was a little low but we still had a blast. Great creek, will definitely be back to run it again.
