Fall Rains

Post by cpresoz » Tue Nov 08, 2011 7:46 am

Why am I working? Why do I schedule my life around a clock? It should be scheduled around rain. West Fork of the White River is cooking! Can't even do Fishers Ford after work. It'll be dark.

Curt. It is too bad you couldn't just be sick today.... Maybe mañana ?

I'm SOL . Broke a digit and can't get it wet much less out into the bacteria laden flows that be thar today.

Finally some decent rainfall! I'm sure a few will make it out and tell us stuck at work or on the DL some stories.

Yeah, John, I already used up my alotted sick days this spring until my annual hire date in January. I'm allowed to put in for vacation with a day's notice . . . I'll negotiate with my boss now that I'm a paddler.
I saw where you busted your digit. Hope it's coming along.
I'd be happy just shuttling buds between Winslow and West Fork.
Finally! Good water. Can't wait to hear the stories tomorrow.
West Fork topped out at 7.8 just now. I'm sure they're out there.

Summerbee, I'm already off work Friday thinking I'd head down early to Petit Jean for the weekend camp and hike, but I'm totally ready to float and just get there late. Keep me posted.

The drainages are kicking in and the levels are shooting up. So it's a good week even for those of us who can't get off today.

Well Curtis, I'm glad to hear that you are all spent on your days off. That means that you made the most of your time.

Wish I could say the same, but I guess it's that time of year to get them spent and shuttling folks and hiking will be a part of that plan!

It's good to have a job, and being responsible and all, but sometimes I just wish I didn't have any obligations. I can live vicariously through those who got to go. Heard Goose Creek and the Middle Fork of the White were a blast today. And they'll all be up for a couple more days.
