Boat Reccomendations

Hello group,

My girlfriend and I are looking to purchase 2 used kayaks or one tandem kayak to use on Lake Conway, Buffalo River, etc. We were looking to spend around 500 total, but are unsure where exactly to start our search. Any reccomndations on boats or stores/outfitters that have used boats for sale??

Hello, im surprised nobody has answered your post. and not sure if I'll be any help, but there are several places to go to depending on where you live or how far you are willing to travel. and as far as one tandem or two solo's, I would definitely recommend going with 2 solo kayaks! it ends the "it was your fault" argument when and if you tip over so that one right there can be a marriage saver! and you (or your spouse) will eventually want to go paddle when your significant other doesnt, so it will be much easier loading and paddling a solo vs loading/paddling a tandem, solo. Let me know where you are located and I can tell you of places nearby. but used touring/rec. kayaks dont get sold as often as the whitewater boats, so they are harder to find.and there are many lengths and widths to choose from, try out as many as you can to find out what you like before you buy.
