Wow !!!
– this is the best, most amazing slow-mo footage I’ve ever seen of osprey fishing. I never saw a bird “shake the water off” in flight as the video
shows. In real time, I couldn’t tell what was happening because this happens in a few seconds. I know they have amazing eyesight and can see the fish from a high elevation.
When the water is deep, the bird can completely submerge – it looks like
a dive bomber given the speed at which it hits the water – and when the bird comes back to the surface, you often see it juggling the fish to
get it to be aerodynamic (head pointing forward) so it can fly it back to the spot it intends to feed at, if not the nest.
The best fishermen in the world.

"Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave intending to arrive safely in an attractive, well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, a paddle in your hands, body totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
