Yampa, Lodore Canyon of the Green and Split Mountain of the Green are some of my favorite western river float trips.

Don't know what we can do except maybe write some letters. I recommend a group "Friends of the Yampa" as another way to keep informed on that river.

Keep spreading the word Dee.

It's too bad that backwards x backwards doesn't = forwards.

When you undermine one backwards plan, with a concept that is completely backwards of the plan it doesn't seem like any good can come from it, unless it's an undoing that is actually good.

Doesn't look that way based on the article though.

BUT maybe this idea will be so bad, that it results in a complete change that's beneficial overall....

Until then, it sounds like letter writing and education time.

At the very least, it is good that the river has friends. A watershed organization of individuals caring about the river is almost always good.

Thanks for the info Dee and Okie!
