"Normal" Flow at Rockport Sunday?
Was planning to play at Rockport Sunday 9/4, but noticed that today the release peaked and dropped immediately to the "lower" release. Any speculation about Sunday?

Re: "Normal" Flow at Rockport Sunday?
Twindad,
Several of us floated from the Dam down today, Sept.3rd, putting in at noon when the release was forecast to begin. Like you, we too were looking for a bank-full of water to make the five mile float. The release however was two hours late today. Entergy has been pretty spot-on with their releases all Summer long so I'd think they may have had a technicial concern today maybe causing the delay but would think the releases for Sunday and Monday will be at noon, as forecast in their current schedule.
On a side note, several of our friends made the trip out East this weekend to float the Nantahala, and it looks like they will be having more water and bad weather than they can say grace over
Best Regards
Jim

Re: "Normal" Flow at Rockport Sunday?
I think I read that one or more of the lakes (Ouachita, Hamilton, and Catherine) have been drawn down 6 feet to look for "Alligator Weed". This may also be code for "non-compliant septic systems".
If I had been planning to drive to Rockport to play today, I might have been faked out by the "spike" to 3800 CFS (3 generators?) followed immediately by a shut-off of one generator.
That's all the speculation I have.
