Anyone ever heard of a Tanana canoe? I found one for sale a couple of days ago for $250. It looked like a Blue Hole, aluminum gunwales, thwarts, and plastic seats. It's been sitting in the weather and looked somewhat oxidized, maybe some wax would make it look a little better. There were about a half dozen 'holes' in the outer layer that would need some kind of a patch, but it looked like a pretty decent boat.
Thanks,
bart

Re: Tanana canoe
tannana canoes are exactly like a Blue Hole, came from the same mold, and back then the roylex was all the same as well. Sounds like the vinyl could use a repair, and would get rid of the plastic seats. the Vinyl layer can always be painted with a plastic paint. would just make sure that it is structually sound. dale

Made in Arkansas? I remember seeing a couple of those boats when I came back for the Ozark paddling when I lived in Mississippi. Solid boats as I remember.
