new to this. Cool rivers?
I just started kayaking not too long ago and i love it. But i do not know of that many neat and interesting places to go float. Any suggestions of not too challenging, but still interesting rivers or floats near central ar? Thanks

For a newbie the lower Little MO (below the narrows dam) is a good run if they are releasing water.
Practicing moving in and out of moving water at Rockport would also be worthwhile. Similarly Fisher Ford in NW AR is a good practice spot if the water is above 3 feet on the gage. If you arein the NW AR area, the IL over in OK would be ok for practice.
Put ACC Canoe school on your list of things to do in 2012. IF you can not wait that long, have the time and money take a course at NOC in NC.
