Sold Kayak Trailer

Post by MrBuildit » Sat Jul 16, 2011 9:23 pm

I am selling my Kayak canoe trailer that is just finished. It is classified as home built WITH A 2011 TITLE. This trailer 4x8 is totally custom for hauling kayaks, canoes, and camping gear and much more. It has a rack designed to hold 4 kayaks flat or however many you can fit stacked up. It can hold 4 canoes any length. Touring boats, Rec boats, Fishing boats, White water boats you name it. It has a Tool box on the front for securing items. The rack 4x6 also has a caged bottom so stuff doesn't slide out the sides as well as a custom cargo net for securing the load. The caged part is 14" tall for a standard size ice chest to fit nice. It has a REESE Fold Away tongue/ hitch so the trailer can be made shorter for storage. As well as a new 2" coupler. It can fit in a standard garage loaded with kayaks or canoes on it (height wise). It has all new 15" wheels and tires a new 3500lb axle. It has been sandblasted and repainted. Also has a Composite wood floor. No rotting and no gaps in the floor forever. Has a two inch receiver hitch on the back for bike racks or extra cargo racks. You will definitely look like a professional when you show up at the lake or river with this trailer. The tail lights are full L.E.D. as well as the bottom side marker lights. The lights on the rack are standard lights with all hidden wiring. All upper lights as well as the tail lights have guards around them to protect them from bumps or limbs or such. A Hi-Lift farm jack mounted on the side for that just in case moment. Comes with a snug a lug spare tire lock with chrome 4 way lug wrench. The trailer is extremely well thought out as I built this for myself. The trailer has been used one time and garage kept. My plans have since changed and I don't need a trailer anymore. You will not find a nicer trailer anywhere that will compare to this one. I am asking $2200 with the rollers and saddles and $2000 without.

This trailer is also convertible. The rack can be removed and the trailer can be used as a utility trailer. It comes with a 4' expanded metal ramp. Can haul Motorcycles or mowers or what ever you want.
Come take a look you will buy it. For more info Call 479-270-5568
Serious inquires only. The Trailer is in Rogers,Ar.

Yes it will hold a lot of weight. I built this to haul fishing kayaks. My fishing kayaks weigh in at 60lbs each. Thats over 120lbs on the top bars. All fully welded and reinforced with bracket welded underneath and on top of the cross bars. The bottom cross bars will hold even more weight than the top. I would think it would work for your raft. Come take a look and we can see. 479-270-5568

This trailer was built to haul kayaks and canoes and camping gear and fishing gear. It is a very well built trailer. Not the cheap thin wall stuff you see around. Yet its not to heavy so that I can push it in and out of the garage loaded with no problem at all. With 15" wheels it has more ground clearance than the small wheeled trailers. It also has Wheel locks on all the Wheels. Want more clearance??? A lift kit can be added to this trailer for about $15. That would give you more of a 4x4 hunting trailer.

When you say that it could haul, for example, motorcycles, how much weight is it rated for? I guess the question is when not hauling boats, we'd like something that could haul two decent sized cruiser bikes.

2.5 3 hour trip or I would come take a look.

horizontal bar may make it difficult to use as I thought. Saw this in the pics when I zoomed them in after I posted. Very good plan and work from what I see.

How tall are the top crossbars from the ground?
