So I’m new to the sport and have been doing a lot of research on what kind of kayak I want to get and I think I’ve decided that a sit on top is the way I want to go. I’m looking for something with relatively good stability, something that tracks well but is still maneuverable, and something that I’ll eventually be able to take on moderate white water. I’ve narrowed it down to 3 options…
Dagger- Torrent Model (this is the one I’m most interested in I think)
Emotion- Temptation Model
Perception- Tribe 9.5 Model
What do you think?

Re: Newbie Gear Question
The only one that I've paddled is the torrent.. It doesn't track well at all. It's a whitewater SOT.
The other two would be good for general recreational paddling and some very mild whitewater.
One great option in the way of versatility is the LL Coupe.

The best of both worlds.
Happy hunting.

Gotta agree with Tom on this. The LL Coupe should fit your requirements great.
