There is still a ton of water in the Rockies if anyone is planning a trip.

Yeah, we hated to leave but got to do a couple runs that normally are too low or don't run this time of year. Some locals told us at the takeout of 11-Mile Canyon that we should consider ourselves lucky to get that one because it will go 5-6 years without running. We also got on the Lake Fork of the Gunnison at a good level (Redbridge to Gateview) - that was another excellent area to visit!

Is Lake Fork through the Black Canyon? One of the prettiest places I've ever been.

Should be good week of August 8?

Wish we could have spent the whole month out there. Like renee we went over and hit 11 mile canyon 3 different times. Gorgeous gorge up there. One time we felt like rock stars with all the people following us down on the road watching us run the stuff.

Heck no. Would have loved to see someone try it though. It was running upper 400's to mid 500's each time we ran it. Looked to be on the high side for that monster. A few fired up the top half of the top class V rapid.
