Trout fishing in TN?

Post by JBradley » Tue Jun 28, 2011 2:59 pm

anyone had any experience? Annie is super excited about paddling out east, but she wants to fish as well. Anyone had any experience on the hiwassee or any other hatcheries in southern TN? ANY input is valued and appreciated.

I've seen a lot of people fish the upper nantahala/cascades. Not to far from tn if you're in the ocoee area.

Heather is working on a sailboat in the pacific northwest. I'm doing some life reorganizing right now. Have a fun trip east.

what about the Hiwassee? it is cold water release on it. It is just north of the Ocoee.

I took Annie down the ocoee in the shredder, she had a blast! She did really well, I think she may be inspired now. Ran into tim for a bit.

The hiwassee was pretty good for fishing, wading is required and the upper portion by powerhouse is where the fish are. It's definitely a great family oriented river. I miss home, I am ready for non commercial back roads and the ability to drink a beer on or near the creek.

Good trip, but eff this place I'm comin home.
