Lake Ouachita Bird Island Babies

The egret babies are here and are well hidden. Nests will get crowded in the next couple of weeks and will be easier to see.
I paddled out to Bird from Buckville church yesterday( wed the 29th) and the heat and humidity was mean even with a light breeze after the previous day of rain.
Also starting to see a few martins which should arrive in great numbers soon.
I could hear what I thought were babies but didn't see these until I got on the computer,

It is amazing to me how fast the Egret babies are growing on bird island. Not as hard to see this week but all the branches in the way makes getting a good photo tough. Here are a few more;
