Sticking Liquid Logic XP Hatch
Sticking Liquid Logic XP Hatch
If anybody has an XP I am sure they have a sticking hatch. I believe that I've got a great cure for it. I made a survival bracelet then attached I to the front of the hatch. Now not only do I have an easy opening hatch, but I also have a survival rope handy.

Re: Sticking Liquid Logic XP Hatch
I 'fixed' a small, tappered stick for Marlo to use to pry up the hatch cover on her boat early on, but after seeing Edgar's solution, I think I like it equally, or better! I also tried another approach; to' slick' a little 303 protectant on both mateing surfaces of the hatch cover&combing. I think this also a good suppliment for the situation.

Do you have a picture? I want to make one for my boats, too. I lent the red one to a friend, and when it came back it was missing the little rubber thingee that fastens the lid down.
I also tried 303 (and sun block!) and a stick.
Thanks.

Agree with Clif's warning
Don't know about the hatch rubber but I know from personal experience that latex seals on dry tops and sunblock I used caused the latex to go bad.

I had the same problem. 303 takes care of it and I store it with the hatch lid off.

For some reason I can't attach any photos, it doesn't like my iPhone.

I'm planning on being at Rock Port on Saturday, I have some of the handles that I'll give to you if you see me.

Edgar, I just installed the handle you made for Miss Marlo's boat, it looks great. Thank You! We'll probably see you on the river tomorrow.
Jan, OOO can definately fix you up with one of the little rubber thingys but get ready, LL is proud of them, to the tune of $15-$20. I had to replace Marlo's early on.
