This year I hope to get thrashed in the wave, instead of six feet behind it, trying to paddle in.

Dierks will have water in June. But that being said I don't know what the flow will be. Would love to have you folks back!

Re: HOMETOWN THROWDOWN 2011 SCHEDULE
We saw Tiffany this weekend at Dierks (works for the Corps) and I mentioned the Hometown Throwdown. She said to let her know and she would come and that if there's anything she could do, let her know.
And I know Tom would love to see everyone! We had a small crowd down there this past weekend and had a really good time. And thanks again Tom and Mrs. Trigg for the extra firewood :)

Renee, thanks! Yes we would love to see ALL of you guys. You know that you will be treated right here! I am glad that it is after Memorial day weekend for I am sure we will be packed. I am working on primitive camping for those that want it when the park is full.Renee H wrote:We saw Tiffany this weekend at Dierks (works for the Corps) and I mentioned the Hometown Throwdown. ok help me out here Please? I have not paddled in 10yr just now getting back into it. so from what I can gather is there is water to be released from somewhere but where? what skill level would you need to be to have fun at this location?
Re: HOMETOWN THROWDOWN 2011 SCHEDULE
Water will be released from Remmel Dam on the Ouachita River. The play wave (ledge) is downstream a few miles at Rockport. It's a class II wave. Basically anyone of any skill level can have fun at the ledge.roylancaster wrote:ok help me out here Please?
