As many of you are aware, federal funding has been cut to all of America's National Parks including the Buffalo National River. Many services and projects normally carried out in the Park cannot be accomplished due to these budget cuts.
Additionally, recent floods and inclement weather have taken a toll on many areas in our Park. For safety reasons, campgrounds and trails have been closed along the Buffalo. BNRP is commited to assisting the Park with our "Shucks, It's Just 2 Bucks" campaign.
It only takes $2 per foot to build, maintain and/or rehab a trail. We are beginning this summer by asking you to help us fund the rebuilding of the trails in the Park that have been devasted by weather or have not had the attention that they normally would have. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we had the funds to rehab at least one mile (or more) of trail by Labor Day?
We hope you will consider helping out with this very important project. You can donate through PayPal on our website (http://www.BNRPartners.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) or by writing a check and mailing it to BNRP, P.O. Box 1914, Harrison, AR 72602. Please make your check payable to BNRP and note your check for "Shucks, It's Just 2 Bucks."
Make it a great summer and, remember, stay safe on the River.
