For information, every TV and Radio station in Tulsa OK is warning big time of severe weather including tornado's and softball sized hail beginning some time across eastern OK today late afternoon or night. Don't know what is forecast for AR.

Re: Question about floating the White in Washington County

Post by mikeark » Thu Apr 14, 2011 11:41 am

Need some info.....Visiting my sons who live in Fayetteville and Rogers next week. Would like to take my Manta Ray12 and float an area convenient to their homes so they can help w/ shuttle if necessary. What about the White south of Beaver from Hwy 412 east of Springdale to a takeout at Hwy 45 east of Fayetteville? Good idea? What is that length?

about 6 miles .no shuttle needed you can paddle up stream or down .putting in at hwy 45 bridge . you can go another 5 to 6 up from there. the white bass are about to make there seasonal run up stream . river is muddy brown today. and to the north you have the elk river just over the state line . good for another 8 to12 miles .. hope it helps?

Don't know if it wll help, but I just spent 2 hours+ in 48F temps and high wind washing Susan's truck. Had hauled load of black compost, and deal is it has to be cleaned after using.
