Blue Hole pinned on Snow Creek
A buddy of mine pinned his canoe on the Snow Creek section of the Illinois Bayou today. Old green 16' Blue Hole with lots of fiberglass patches and a BOC label somewhere on it. If you find it or see it please call me at 501-912-8884. We will likely mount a rescue/recovery effort tomorrow.

Thanks Tim, I may see you there. But don't wait for me cause I don't know for sure if I can make it.

Re: Blue Hole pinned on Snow Creek
Cowper, et al: Turned out OK. Boat was upside down, pointed downstream in knee deep fast water. We were on river right on a 8' vertical bank. I went upstream of the boat and swam to river left into an eddy.
They threw me a rope which I hooked around a thwart. Two guys pulling finally got boat turned right side up and floated it down to an eddy where they emptied it out. It was unclear exactly what had caught the boat(no floatation). They threw me a rope and I "swam" over to river right. Good practice.
There were two more portages around willow jungles and a tree.
If you remember "House Rock"? There is a 40' tree with a root ball the size of a car about 10 above the water jammed into the rock. That was a buttload of water.
