Bell solo canoe

Post by Eric Esche » Fri May 20, 2011 5:06 am

Not mine, and no connections to it, but was surfing Paddleswap.com and saw a 14'6" Bell with skid plates, 2 paddles and a PFD for $500 in Kansas City. Looked like it had anchors for floatation bags in it too. Think it is a Wildfire/Yellowstone, and not the Magic listed a few times.

Just in case anyone was looking for one.

Eric

I wonder if anyone is going to buy the Bell Canoe Co. which is currently for sale? The cost of a Bell Canoe may be going up a little.
Paddle on,

I think we will have a huge hole in the composite tripping-boat market if Bell doesn't get picked up, but I don't think you will see their RX boats increase in value. Too many other companies make great tandem and solo tripping/touring boats.

Hi Minna,

Yes, I remember you.
Was in hopes that we might see you & Heather again at our Spring Rendezvous, which we recently had(last week) on the North Fork of the White river.
Water level was great, and we had a good turnout of paddlers(over 20) too.
As a matter of fact, our group were the "only" paddlers on the river.

Anytime you are going to be in the area; don't hesitate to contact me. Would love to paddle with you again.
Please tell Heather I said Hi!
I miss seeing & paddling with her a lot.

I am quite familiar with the Wildfire; I have been paddling one for over 10 years now.

Take care,
BOB

P.S. You might take a look at the canoe I currently have for sale on ACC.
It's a like new, 14.6 foot Blackhawk Shadow. Handles much like a Bell Wildfire, but is over 10 pounds lighter in the fiberglass layup. Pretty boat, and hundreds of dollars cheaper that a new Yellowstone Solo, which retails for over 13 hundred with wood trim. The Shadow is wood trimmed.

Best way to keep up with the Ozark Rendezvous Group is on paddling.net; the next scheduled Rendezvous will probably be in October this year.

The Blackhawk Shadow is advertised on page 2 of ACC items for sale forum.
Several photos are provided in the ad.
