Norrell Spillway last night- thanks for the help with my son
I would just like to thank James and the other people that helped my son down the run and then after he had to bail. I thought he was skilled enough to make it down the bottom section but he needs some more time at Rockport and a creek boat next time.
Thanks!
Willie
Thanks!
Willie

Hey Willie - I witnessed the swim, but wasn't on the creek for his lap. I saw him at the bottom and offered up the Hero for another run, but he said no. Jack borrowed it and said it worked out fine. Anyway, by the time I got down the next lap, you guys were gone. Hope your son will come back again. You had fun, right? :)

Yeah, we had a good time. I just hated seeing him swim when I couldn't do anything to help him (I guess its the fatherly instinct!). He has done some pretty good whitewater with no problem so I thought he was ready but the creek was a new ballgame for him.

I saw him swim however I was on shore and no way I could get to him. he seemed to keep his composure about him. The way I see it, if you aren't swimming every now and then than you are not really progressing or pushing yourself. It's just a part of the game unfortunately. Glad to know he was alright. Never ran Norrell in a playboat though, having a creek boat makes things a lot easier (a little less fun IMHO). Props for having the cajones to even run that in a playboat. And this is coming from someone who takes his playboat on almost everything.

But you didn't shy away too hard when I offered up the HeroJackZ wrote: And this is coming from someone who takes his playboat on almost everything.
