fall creek wood report 4/24

Fall creek was running big and bad today. It was just out of it's banks.

A pal of mine and I hit it up and I remembered Zack and jermdog ran it about 6 months ago or so and said they had to portage a couple of times.

Before that it had been another six months and I had heard someone portaged 10 times due to wood.

Today, we ad to portage river wide trees 3 times, probably would have been about 8 or more if the water were any lower.

Should still be running good tomorrow, but all the wood was moving around so there could be more or less wood tomorrow as well.

where are you puting in, alway wated to do it. any barbed wire?

No Barbed Wire! at least not across the creek. I did see some off to the side on one of the banks. I figure it all got cleared out by the flotsam.

The put in is at 265 and stickler. We parked at the Arkansas Hiway Trans. Dept. roadside gravel pile lot and put in just behind.
