Arkansas River Little Rock Pool

This isn't a canoeing question, but I can't get a simple yes or no from the Corps nor can I find anyone else to ask. I'd like to take kids out on my boat, beach it on an island or gravel bar, and build a fire for roasting dogs and making s'mores, etc. on a gravel bar or island on the Arkansas River at Little Rock. I know people do it all the time because I've seen the remains, but I only want to do it if it's legal. Does anyone know?

I paddle the River several times a week, I see where people have had fires and cook outs. There is a couple of places that have hobo camps( is that the right word Hobo) they have tarps up and fires going.
Just down from the BDB the River Rats have a small island they party on in the afternoons and weekends.
I don`t know what is legal and what is not, I don`t think there is anyone that would stop you from doing it.
Right now the water level is down so there is plenty of sand bars, I would check the water flow before I took my kids out on it.
