Cadron tomorrow?

Post by Roger » Sat Mar 19, 2011 6:37 pm

Meet at the take-out around 11 or so? Flexible on start time. Weather looks nice and level is looking sweet? I'm on break!

65 bridge. Figure that I will poach the put-in at Pinnacle Springs bridge and do some trash patrol in the process.

OMG!! I don't think I can go near that dead 'possum again! Someone put one right in the center of the path, about 40' from the top, where you have to go to get downhill. It's at the ready to explode stage. After passing by it, I put my PFD on. Sealed that stink in until I got off the creek, and by then it had soaked into my shirt really good. I could still smell dead 'possum when I started to get in the shower. Other than that, floating the Cadron sounds like a great idea. We had a good time yesterday.

Good of you to help with the trash. We were talking yesterday about doing creek trash when we do the highway litter pickup. I'll be announcing that next week.

Have a good float. The creek is at a nice level, was really pretty.

I'm good for tomorrow and would be fine to start even a bit earlier.

I'm in Cabot visiting relatives and getting on Cadron is definitely my part of the vacation.

I'll post up tomorrow. Cell is 479fourfour5-nine287

Hell yeah!

What time are y'all putting in? I may have to go after all. Still thinking about that darn 'possum, tho.

Leaving out now. Figure that possum might find a home in somebody's butt-boat.

One of these days I'm gonna get to make this float with y'all. Be sure to learn the Cadron well, cause you may have to lead me down it sometime!! :D

Nice to get back on the Cadron for its close proximity, meet a couple of new paddling friends, and enjoy the weather. Thanks, Chester, Jan, and John (sp)!

Will try and post a few pics later.

Oh, the inhumanity!!! Joe's was closed!!

THANKS GUYS FOR A GREAT DAY!! Even with the swim at Grandpa's Knee, I had tons of fun. :poke: Now, if only Cooper would take his chainsaw to that darn log that got me . . . (For some reason, I thought it was waiting to grab Karla.) I went down the rapids face down on my knees. Now I have purple knees.
What a beautiful day. Thanks, guys for helping me when I swam.

Probably because everyone's been going to Old Chicago now - you can get a beer, they have better food selection and overall, it's just WAY WAY better than Joe's Pizza!
