awesome pictures!!
did you fish any?
I am thinking of adding the little maumelle to my list of "want to" floats.
I like to fish so i was just curious how the fishing was.
Where do you put in and take out?
thanks

Put in and Take Out were discussed in this thread:

Water levels now are probably better than they were at that time, so there will be a little more current at the shoals. (about two places) If you choose the option of paddling downstream and then returning to your starting point, then be prepared to wade dragging the boat to get back upstream at these two spots. Calf-high boots (Muck boots or similar) are generally enough to do it without getting your feet wet.
You could also put in at the take-out, and paddle up to some of the areas where Dan probably took those photos, and would not have to wade any. Personally, I prefer the smaller stream at the upstream put-in, but both are nice.

We paddled up from the take out on burnett road and returned. I caught so many fish I had to release them to bring the water level back up so we didn't drag

.
Seriously the fishing was slow according to the fishermen we talked to.
Can't wait to see what this place looks like this summer.
