Uses the same type of clamps as a camper shell. I have them as well to go with the rack.

Any idea how much the rack weighs? Takes two to put it on the truck?

It does take two to put it on the truck...weighs probably 300 lbs or so...maybe. it is all steel and expanded metal.

I have a 16' canoe with a 4" rocker, do you think it will ride on top? Seems like it would not be stable with the length of the rack. The problem I am having with the truck('10 nissan frontier king cab) I have is the only solution for a rack is either permanently mounting the rack or using something similar to yours that I do not have to drill holes in the roof.

The canoe will fit...no problem.

I have a 2000 Tacoma single cab and have been looking for a better rack option. Does it rest on the roof of the cab at all? Seems the added up front length would put alot of torque on the clamps. Thanks Jeremy..

Dang, just noticed your truck is an extended cab. I'm thinkin it would stick out way forward on my single cab..

It might stick out a bit, but it doesn't rest on the cab at all....
