Request for loaner gear for UALR cardoard boat race

Post by JTarver » Thu Feb 10, 2011 9:46 am

Tom emailed me and asked if the UALR pool could borrow some life jackets and paddles (he said at least 10-12) for a Cardboard boat race that is being held on February 18, which is next friday.
I told him I thought we (as a group) would probably be able to accomodate him, as the UALR pool has been so good to us for a long time. This is our chance to give back a little.
So if you have an extra life jacket or paddle (he didn't specify sizes, so I guess whatever you have will work) that you can loan him for the cardboard boat race, please get in touch with me, and we can get something worked out to get it to him.

You will get your gear back, but labeling anything you loan with a name, number, etc. wouldn't be a bad idea just in case.

PM here on the board, or email is the easiest way to reach me.
JTarver295@yahoo.com is my email.

Thanks in advance,
Joe

To all who is close to the school.

Last year my Grand daughter's 8th grade class had one of these cardboard boat projects.

Teams made the boats and then it was a race up and down a local college pool.

Watching these races is just a hoot. So if you can, loan some gear but be sure to get to the race just to watch.
