Got the Gheenoe now I need a motor...

Post by jbrazil » Mon Jan 31, 2011 9:36 pm

Looking for a good deal on a 8hp to 10hp short shaft (15") for the Gheenoe I scored. Doesn't have to run perfect, I can do some repairs. 2 stroke preferred because of weight, but 4 stroke will work just fine.
Thanks

Too bad, but I'm not surprised. That was a jam up good price. Not to worry, though. Deuce is on the case. If it'll help you convince the wife I'll waive the consulting fee.

Thanks both of you. 10hp is the biggest the boat is supposed to hold?

Yeah, you definitely want to stay within the hp limits. Overpowering won't do your canoe any favors and could get you a visit from this guy. Catching the fishes = good. Sleeping with the fishes = bad.

Says he'll sell the motor separately. Perfect size for your Gheenoe.
